The ‘Irawo’ hitmaker, who’s at number 7 on the ONTT chart with her new video, ‘Ragga Ragga’, shared her thoughts about some of the music videos defining the Nigerian music space at the moment.
She also spoke about her relationship with mentor and multiple award-winning artist, 2Face, who was responsible for getting her her very first gig in Nigeria upon her return from the United States.
‘I have so much respect for 2Face. He is my mentor and I have learnt a lot from him and his work. He also got me my very first gig in Nigeria and since then, I have only continued to move higher. I am grateful for every opportunity I have to work with him or perform on the same stage with him,’ she said.
Topping the chart, Burna Boy held the number 1 spot with the video, ‘Yawa Dey’ as Dr Sid’s ‘Surulere’ made a huge leap to number 2, moving five places from number 7 and kicking Tiwa Savage’s video, ‘Eminado’, down to number 4.
Jesse Jagz also moved up to number 3 from the sixth spot with his monster video, ‘Bad Girl’. Davido made his way back to the chart with the much talked about video, ‘Aye’ at number 10, while 2Face’s ‘Rainbow’ featuring TPain entered the chart at number 9.
Other artists ranked include Patoranking and Banky W.
