WTF! 2 Men Repackages Expired Biscuits and Sell it to Unaware Customers in Lagos

The Lagos State Environmental Sanitation and Special Offences Unit (Task Force) has  arrested and paraded two suspects for repackaging expired digestive biscuits and sell to unsuspecting customers in Lagos. Mr. Rabiu Olalekan and Mr. Hakeem Tiamiyu were arrested by the taskforce and  paraded at their office in Alausa Ikeja.
 Addressing newsmen, the Chairman, Taskforce, SP Olayinka Egbeyemi, warned members of the public to be wary of re-packaged expired digestive biscuits selling in all markets across Lagos. According to him, the criminals were arrested around Mosafejo market in Oshodi, Lagos while another lady, Bimbo Oyewole was arrested at Oshodi under bridge while cleaning off the expired date boldly written on a pack of a digestive biscuit.
 He said the lady who was arrested took the task force officials to where she bought the expired digestive biscuit at N1,900 per pack from one Mr. Rabiu Olalekan and Mr. Hakeem Tiamiyu.Olalekan, whose address as at time of arrest was C135 Bere-Mapo,  Ibadan in Oyo State confessed to the crime. He revealed he has been in the business with Mr. Hakeem Tiamiyu who lives at No 26, Oremeji Street, Ikotun-Egbe, Lagos, the business of repackaging expired digestive biscuits and selling them to members of the public at a cheaper rate.
 According to the suspects, they decided to repackage the biscuits after government demolished Mosafejo market and making it impossible for them to sell it before they expired, they decided to change the expiry dates and re-package them for the consumption of members of the public.
 They will soon be charged to court.
